The 13.3 mile race will begin at the Lake Barkley Bridge and travel west on a paved trail for 3.5 miles. The course then becomes a winding, woodland path with packed gravel for 8.1 miles. It then becomes paved again for the final 1.7 miles to the finish on the west side of Eggner's Ferry Bridge at Kentucky Lake. Moderate elevation changes will be evident through the woodland trail.
The two person relay will travel the same course that was described for the half marathon. The exchange zone for the two runners will be at Golden Pond Visitor Center. This zone is approximately 7.25 miles from the start. The second leg is approximately 6 miles. The first leg is longer but consist of easier terrain for the runner.
The three person relay will travel the same course that was described for the half marathon. The first segment will be a 3.5 paved run that will end at the Sunset Trailhead. The second segment will be a 3.75 mile woodland trail run that will end at the Golden Pond Visitor Center. The last segment is approximately a 6 mile run to the finish consisting of wooded trail and paved trail.
Check-in and parking will be at Kenlake State Park near the tennis center. Buses will provide transportation for runners to the start line and exchange zones.
Starting on the Canton side of the Lake Barkley Bridge and crossing into the beautiful Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area. The course will follow the paved path along Highway 80 until connecting with the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail. Runners will stay on the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail for the full distance of the trail ending at Fenton. The course will then connect with the Kentucky Lake Bridge where runners will cross and finish just west of Kentucky Lake along Highway 80. The race distance has not been certified, but it is roughly 13.3 miles from start to finish.

Travel & Lodging
A group of hotel rooms along with several one and two bedroom cottages have been reserved for runners coming from out of town at Kenlake State Resort. This resort is located less than a mile from the race check-in and finish line. A 10% room discount will be granted to runner who CALL the resort for reservations. The number is (270) 474-2211. There are several dining options within 5 miles of Kenlake State Resort Park. Additional options are located in Murray and Cadiz. A list of these restaurants can be found at the link below.
